Loic Remy, Dejan Lovren and Divock Origi are all on the verge of joining but Brendan Rodgers still wants a marquee signing in at Liverpool this summer. Names being mentioned include Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal and Marco Reus for anywhere between £35m and £50m. Ah, but will they fancy it?
Spurs seem to be finally getting in to gear and deals for Michael Vorm and Ben Davies were wrapped up earlier today. Next up it's Antoine Griezmann, Mattia Destro or Mehdi Benatia. The latter two play for Roma. You'll of course remember how brilliantly it went the last time Tottenham signed a player from those parts.
Man Utd! Defenders! Arsenal are still digging their heels in and demanding that Phil Jones or Chris Smalling be offered up in exchange for Thomas Vermaelen. Possibly not quite what van Gaal wanted to hear, but its more than he's getting from Jurgen Klopp anyway, the Dortmund manager has said that Mats Hummels is staying put. Might have to be Stefan de Vrij instead then, unless of course Southampton get there first.
The Saints have also been linked with a move for Argentina defender Marcos Rojo, will duke it out with Newcastle for Serge Gnabry's temporary signature, and have had a 'derisory' offer for Celtic keeper Fraser Forster rejected. It's a start.
Leicester have signed Leonardo Ulloa from Brighton for a club-record £8m, Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom has joined West Brom on a season-long loan and Atletico 'can't afford' to bring Fernando Torres back home. Yeah, that'll be it...
