TRANSFER RUMOURS! 21st January

Remember how James Milner's out of contract at the end of the season? Well he's no closer to signing a new one and is apparently considering offers from Spain and Italy. That would suggest a summer exit but might City be tempted to cash in on him this month? FFP and all that, it could 'develop'.
Another player acting all coy when it comes to signing da ting is David De Gea. But not to worry, van Gaal or Woodward or someone have fended off any potential January or summer moves from Real Madrid by placing a £50m price tag on his head. Meanwhile, United fans have voted in a poll and unanimously decided that if it came to it they wouldn't even swap their keeper for Gareth Bale. Not that Madrid were offering, they'll probably just wait until 2016 and sign him on a Bosman. I feel a plane coming on, banner in tow.
Sticking with United, they weren't the mystery club that bid £26m for Valencia centre half Nicolas Otamendi, and look unlikely to get Marquinhos from PSG either after being quoted £112m for the Brazilian.
Fresh from completing the signing of Legia Warsaw youngster Krystian Bielik, Arsenal have opened talks with Villarreal about nabbing Gabriel Paulista. They've been linked with a move for Zenit midfielder Axel Witsel too. Busy.
Daniel Levy's somehow persuaded Swansea to cough up £5m for Kyle Naughton, will look to get a similar fee from them for Tom Carroll and has cheekily offered Everton Aaron Lennon in exchange for Kevin Miralles. The man just knows how to January.
