So is Yaya Toure actually going to do one then? If he does, City will look to bring in Paul Pogba or Ross Barkley as his replacement. Eliaquim Mangala ought to be on the bus before long though, the Porto man's £32m move is 'imminent', just as it has been for the past six months.
It seems Louis van Gaal's having second thoughts about Arturo Vidal. Is £32m too steep? Is spending £25m on Kevin Strootman (out til January) much better value? In better news, Angel Di Maria has rejected PSG, leaving United with a free run at him. One imagines they won't be quite as obliging as the French champions when it comes to writing out £50m cheques though.
Sami Khedira to Arsenal looks to be off, he just wanted too much cash innit. Thomas Vermaelen might not be leaving either, apparently Wenger was demanding Chris Smalling in exchange but with Mathieu Debuchy about to join (eventually) and Southampton's Calum Chambers also a target, how many right-backs does he actually need?
Michael Dawson doesn't fancy going to Hull but Roberto Soldado might be open to an Inter switch. Spurs are willing to take a hit on the Spaniard and sell for £15m, cash they'd then put towards offers for Morgan Schneiderlin and John Stones.
Filipe Luis is due for a medical at Chelsea after they agreed a £20m fee with Atletico and Demba Ba's probably off to Besiktas on loan.
Michu's almost a Napoli player, Mario Balotelli could join Liverpool for £14m and Conor Wickam's rejected a new contract offer from Sunderland. Leicester and Southampton are lurking.
