TRANSFER RUMOURS! 14th May

Southampton have rejected Man Utd’s £27m bid for Luke Shaw and Liverpool’s £20m one for Adam Lallana. £25m should be enough for the latter but both may have to submit transfer requests if they want things sorted before the World Cup. Mauricio Pochettino quite fancies speaking to Spurs about that vacancy too. Glory days at St. Mary’s, truly.
Diego Costa’s still not signed then, and there’s talk of Chelsea spinning two sagas in to one by using Romelu Lukaku as a makeweight now. Banging. Costa might be joined at Stamford Bridge by Hoffenheim striker Roberto Firmino, and Frank Lampard too, he looks set to sign a new one-year deal. David Luiz though, he reckons it’d be ‘cool’ to play at PSG alongside his Brazil team-mate Thiago Silva. Probably would be, in fairness.
Arsenal are considering making a £29m offer for Angel di Maria, as are Man City, unfortunately.
Arsenal are considering making a £24m offer for Alexis Sanchez, as are Juventus, unfortunately.
Hmmm, Wifried Bony? Maybe, but Garry Monk says any bid would have to be ‘astronomical’. Thierry Henry, 53, on loan next January? Now we’re talking.
The Gunners aren’t the only club not signing players, mind. Marco Reus won’t be joining Man Utd, nor will Miralem Pjanic. Mats Hummels and William Carvalho on the other hand… Well they’ve not said no yet.
Rio Ferdinand could be playing European football next season after all. Hull are keen. West Ham want Sunderland’s out of contract midfielder Jack Colback and John Ruddy could be off to Crystal Palace. Done.
