TRANSFER RUMOURS - 13th May

Someone have a word with Southampton, because Big Summer Exodus: The 2015 Edition really isn't going to plan. Jay Rodriguez has snubbed interest from all those clubs that were definitely going to spend big on him despite the fact he hasn't played for more than a year and signed a new four-year deal instead. The club have also re-opened talks with Nathaniel Clyne about a new contract, and word is he might actually stay put, despite interest from Man Utd. This won't do at all.
With relegation confirmed and a hefty FFP fine waiting for them on their way back down to the Championship, QPR might need to raise some funds. Charlie Austin, unlike the majority of his team-mates, hasn't been awful this season and is attracting interest from Southampton and Newcastle. £10m ought to do it. And with Petr Cech leaving Chelsea summer (Besiktas are the latest club mentioned) Jose Mourinho needs a quite good keeper who won't mind sitting on the bench all season. Step forward, then sit down, Rob Green, or John Ruddy, if Norwich don't get promoted.
The Blues are keen on Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann too, probably because he plays for Atletico. It's an expensive habit though, lad's got a £43.5m release-clause.
Liverpool are hopeful of beating Man Utd (sure) and Real Sociedad to the signing of Burnley striker Danny Ings, and are keeping an eye on Milan forward Jeremy Menez too. Man City though, they're monitoring the shit out of Jordan Ibe's contract situation, so it's not all feel-good vibes at Anfield.
Sticking with the young-English-prospect-to-City chat, of which there shall be plenty this summer; Saido Berahino. No mention of a fee but if we just call it 'inflated' we'll not be far off.
Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk has had enough of winning medals and fancies an annual relegation scrap at Sunderland instead. Who wouldn't? And Asmir Begovic will likely be leaving Stoke for big money this summer after rejecting a new deal with the Potters.
