TRANSFER RUMOURS! 13th January

Last night at the Ballon D'Or, Lionel Messi said he wasn't certain where he'd be playing next season. It was more one of those 'you can never know for definite in football' quotes than an 'I'm off' come-and-get-me plea, but Man Utd are still 'on alert'. Just them and Real Madrid able to take a £195m hit and keep on the right side of FFP of course, and in the interests of keeping it all sounding at least half-plausible, talk of him doing a Figo has been mercifully absent thus far. So Old Trafford it is. That'll be nice, won't it?
Still, not as ridiculous as those Edin Dzeko to Stoke rumours.
And back to United, strengthening their own Champions League chances and damn near destroying Southampton's in one fell swoop. Morgan Schneiderlin, £25m, now! Arsene Wenger's keen too but will hold on until the summer, by which point it'll be too late.
Ezequiel Lavezzi to Liverpool for £8m seems a bit low but let's go with it. The Reds are also after Fiorentina keeper Neto. The good news is he's out of contract in the summer and available for £2m. The bad news is Juventus have cottoned on as well. Lastly, Lucas to Napoli, a move that will open the door/pay for Fabian Delph's arrival. Ladies and gentlemen, the new Steven Gerrard.
Ravel Morrison's in talks with Lazio, Swansea want Papiss Cisse to replace Man City-bound Wilfried Bony, and finishing up with something that's actually happened, Yaya Sanogo to Crystal Palace, on loan until the end of the season.
