And this morning Alexis Sanchez left Barca to join Arsenal for £35m.
The biggest deal of the day though has got to be Kieran Richardson to Villa. He's signed on for two years after his Fulham contract was mutually terminated.
It's a big ask to follow those bombshells with mere rumours, but let's give it a go. Arsenal's hopes of Sami Khedira being the next big arrival at the Emirates have been boosted after the midfielder turned his nose up at new Real Madrid deal. Newcastle will bid £5m bid for Feyenoord right-back Daryl Janmaat, so you'd imagine Mathieu Debuchy will be a Gunners player before long as well. We've been saying that for weeks now though... Also, Loic Remy. £8m.
If Liverpool or Spurs want to sign Wilfried Bony they'll have to stump up a thoroughly reasonable £20m. They're both keen on Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand too, though the Blues are holding out for £8m on that one. Seems a bit much really.
Lazio reckon Man Utd ain't got shit when it comes to battling it out for Feyenoord defender Stefan De Vrij, AC Milan could put a spanner in West Ham's Enner Valencia-shaped works and Everton have bid £4m for Bosnian youngster Muhamed Besic. He plays for Ferencváros, cheers Google!
