TRANSFER RUMOURS! 10th September

Not strictly transfer rumours, but Robbie Fowler and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink have both been linked with the vacant Leeds job. That'll end well.
It's probably nonsense, but Man Utd are apparently ready to offload Juan Mata for just £20m in January. Juve are keen, and you'd imagine they won't be the only ones. The Italian club are also keeping an eye on Glen Johnson, he's out of contact at the end of the season but even so it's unlikely the competition will be quite as fierce with that one.
Who'll replace Johnson at Anfield though? Well there's a lot of Dani Alves chat at the moment, with the Barca right-back also catching glances from Manchesters City and United, both of whom are fairly keen on Benfica's £14m rated midfielder Andre Gomes too.
Doesn't look like Nigel De Jong will be heading to Old Trafford though, he's about to open new contract talks at Milan. And Louis van Gaal's pursuit of Kevin Strootman might have hit a snag as well, with PSG willing to offer Roma Adrien Rabiot plus cash for the Dutch international.
Arsenal are after Barcelona youngster Sergi Samper. He's got a £9.6m release clause and some are calling him the new Cesc Fabregas. Cool, but if they're that bothered why didn't they bring the old one back?
United and Liverpool again, and Germany's Christoph Kramer. Man City again, and Jay Rodriguez, cause he's English.
Portugal striker Hugo Almeida's a free agent and can be signed outside of the transfer window. Music to QPR's ears that, and if 19-year-old Aston Villa prospect Jack Grealish wants to get out and see a bit of the world, he could do a lot worse than join Chelsea and get loaned to fuck.
