  A lot of big names there, and a lot of them linked to Chelsea. Question is though, how many of them are likely, and how much of it is nonsense?

  Lets start off with the big one; Cristiano Ronaldo, to Monaco, for £85m. And apparently they’re going to pay him £17m a year tax-free for his trouble, which seems fair. Super-yachts docked in Monte Carlo don’t come cheap after all.
  
  Real will take their £85m and give it straight to Tottenham in exchange for Gareth Bale. They probably won’t be paying him £17m a year though, so they’re up on the deal really.
  
  Man Utd are still in for Roberto Lewandowski and are ready to offer him £90,000 a week. It shows how mental football has become when that sounds low. It only works out at £4.5m a year, the poor chap. Not that it matters; he’ll still end up at Bayern.
  
  Back down to earth will some slightly more feasible nonsense, Newcastle want Darren Bent and will pay £6m to get him. Seems legit. Alain DePardieu is also chasing Douglas, the 24-year-old Brazilian centre back who’s available on a free after his Twente contract expired. He does realise that neither of them are French, doesn’t he?
  
  Big Sam’s strutting around East London like it’s Bolton circa 2005. The reason he’s so happy is that Massimo Ambrosini, 36, is about to sign for the Hammers. It’s like Ivan Campo, Fernando Hierro, Youri Djorkaeff… all over again. Lovely stuff.
  
  Roberto Martinez is looking to strengthen the Everton defence by signing Antolin Alcaraz from Wigan, who conceded 73 goals last season. Nice one, Bobby!
  
  And Norwich are after PSV’s Swedish international Ola Toivonen. He’s scored plenty in the Dutch league, but so had Mateja Kezman, and Alfonso Alves. They should probably bear that in mind.

  So, apparently Barcelona are after Fernando Torres and plan to use him in the ‘goalscoring substitute’ role David Villa’s gotten so fed up with. Not gonna happen, you might think, but ask yourself this, would you rather a nice pitch side view of the Camp Nou or Stamford Bridge? Another possibility is that Chelsea will use him as a makeweight in a deal for Napoli’s Edinson Cavani. Rafa Benitez is there now you see, that’s how these things tend to work. Not in real life, just in the minds of those nasty, lying journalists!
  
  Another striker on his way out of Chelsea is Demba Ba, who West Ham want to take back on loan. When he gets there, they’re hoping they’ll have Andy Carroll to stand next to him so he doesn’t get lonely while everyone else spends all year launching long balls at him.
  
  PSG heard about Monaco preparing an £85m bid for Gareth Bale yesterday and they weren’t happy at all, not one bit. It’s ok though, they’ve got their own £85m bid now and they want AVB to join him should Carlo Ancelotti leave for Real Madrid, so there! Tottenham fans shouldn’t feel downhearted though, especially not if they sign Gareth Barry, things won't seem so bad then.
  
  Nani could be on his way out of Man Utd. No mention of where to mind, possibly because no-one wants him. West Ham also want Wilfried Zaha on loan, David Moyes should be careful, he’ll have no wingers left at this rate. He will have plenty of centre halves though, especially if he manages to sign Ezequiel Garay from Benfica.
  
  Not happy with just two tricksy Spanish wingers in Jesus Navas and David Silva, Man City want a third, and Isco is their man.
  
  And if Pepe Reina hot-foots it to Barcelona, Liverpool will replace him with Simon Mignolet from Sunderland. That’s your lot.

  Apparently Real Madrid are after Edinson Cavani as well now.
  
  So that's a 3 way bidding war between them, Chelsea and Man City...
  
  This could get expensive.

  Apparently Man Utd are going to bid £85m for Gareth Bale now, and they want to spend £40m on Cesc Fabregas. They’re keeping tabs on Cristiano Ronaldo too, who still hasn’t signed a new deal at Real. I male that about £200m in total, hmm…
  
  West Ham still haven’t signed Andy Carroll but hope to have the £15.5m deal wrapped up ‘as early as next week’. As early as? This has been going on for what seems like months.
  
  Scott Parker and Jermain Defoe are 2 of 10 players who’ve been told by Tottenham they can leave this summer. For the best probably.
  
  Chelsea are in for Schalke’s Julian Draxler and Marco van Ginkel from Ajax, which isn’t very exciting at all. If they do sign, expect them to spend 3 years out on loan before leaving for half of what they cost.
  
  And West Ham and Hull can flutter their eyelashes all they like, David Stockdale is staying at Fulham, and that’s that. So there.
