  Plenty going on today. Chelsea, so short of attacking midfielders, are in advanced talks to sign Porto’s Christian Atsu. In fairness, Juan Mata might be off to Arsenal or Spurs, which would leave them with no more than 6 or 7 options for that position. Doesn’t look like Wayne Rooney’s going anywhere, and David Moyes could bid £30m for fellow David, Luiz. Oof! Demba Ba may be off as well, Newcastle want to re-sign him on loan. Batefimbi Gomis’ move to Tyneside is possibly back on too.
  
  After missing out on Will.i.an, Spurs are ready to move again for Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen. When is Erik Lamela going to sign though? Come to think of it, I don’t think Will.i.an’s joined Chelsea yet has he? And Gareth Bale, when’s he leaving? Best get a move on chaps.
  
  Man City have agreed a deal to sign Atletico Madrid centre half Martin Demichelis for £4m, unless they haven’t, in which case they’ll move for Valencia’s Adil Ramil.
  
  Joey Barton Bidding War: Crystal Palace and Everton, £3m. Oh dear.

  the luiz to man utd transfer is the most made up story of the whole transfer window, pure paper talk. they wouldn't sell for 30 mil either even though i don't think he is worth that.

  Will.i.an's got his work permit and has signed a 5 year deal at Chelsea.
  
  And Spurs might fine Gareth Bale after he missed training yesterday and today. AVB's been speaking about the player's proposed move to Real Madrid too, here's what he had to say: "At the moment the two clubs are speaking. I'm not sure how much time it is going to take. It can can happen very soon, it might not happen so soon. I suppose it could go to the last day or it could happen in next two days. But you wouldn't expect the biggest transfer in world football to happen easily."
  
  So we're still none the wiser. Goodie.

  if i was them i would fine him, he knows the move is gonna happen so why is he being a dickhead. i saw him on sky sports news earlier and he needs to be fined for his pink t shirt and hat combo too.

  I seem to remember Cristiano Ronaldo knocking about with Paris Hilton and wearing some awful gear just before he joined Madrid. Coincidence?

  looks like the lamela deal is pretty much done now, that should be the end of the bale saga now they have all their replacements. i think they have done some good business.

  Looks like the Vlad Chiriches deal is back on too. Talk of a move javier Hernandez as well, which would also be pretty good for them.

  i think the hernandez transfer story is all paper talk to be honest. he's beeninjured fr start of season and when he's fit will end up playing plenty of games for man utd this season.
