  The Gareth Bale story from yesterday has made the papers. A bit more clarity on the figures now too, £93m plus Fabio Coentrao, putting the total value of the bid at well north of £100m. Surely Spurs won't be able to reject that?
  
  Chelsea will make a third bid worth £28m for Wayne Rooney while United will up their offer for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini to a less derisory £35m. If they can't prise Baines away then they'll turn their attentions to Luke Shaw.
  
  It's shaping up to be a busy day down at St Mary's, Jason Puncheon is set to sign for Crystal Palace on a season-long loan deal and the Saints want to replace him with Scott Sinclair. The winger was expected to join West Brom on loan, but City would prefer a permanent switch. Southampton are prepared to pay £5m.
  
  Get ready to party like it's 2008. Mark Hughes wants to take Jermain Defoe to Stoke on loan and pair him up with Peter Crouch. Let the good times roll.
  
  If Yohan Cabaye does one, Alan Pardew will use the money to fund a bid for Blackpool winger Tom Ince. He's still after another striker as well.
  
  Sebastien Coates could be out for 6 months, which won't do Liverpool's chances of selling him much good at all. Confusingly, the injury has made them step up their interest in Sporting Lisbon's Tiago Ilori. A replacement for someone who wouldn't have played anyway... Derby's 18-year-old midfielder Will Hughes could be on his way to Anfield too. £6m.
  
  Finally, Arsenal will silence all the doubters with moves for Geoffrey Kondogbia and Vicente Guaita. Statements of intent don't come much more emphatic than that.

  if tottenham don't accept that amount of money for gareth bale they are out of their minds. that is crazy, what would you have to pay to get saurez if this one goes through.

  I think Liverpool would still be after somewhere between £50 and £60m, no way Suarez is worth the same sort of money as Bale.
  
  And I can't see anyone bidding for him now anyway.

  yeah saurez is staying put for sure. i think shaw would be a quality signing for man utd im guessing he would cost similar to baines and is around ten years younger.

  He'll sign for a big club eventually, but I can't see Shaw going just yet. He's 18 and getting regular Premier League football, not sure that'd be the case at United.

  i doubt he'd leave yet, didn't he only just sign a new deal at end of last season. evra has been a bit dodgy last year and a half, so you'd be suprised by how much football he might get at utd.

  to be fair to him he's quality going forward, he just isn't a defender plain and simple. he is gonna end up being a left winger for someone, not sure that it is man utd.

  yeah, it looks a done deal doesn't it. they had to acept it, way too much money. it would be funny if they keep him, their squad would be awesome. wishful thinking for spurs fans.
