  So that’s the end of the Wayne Rooney saga then. United won’t sell to Chelsea at any price and are prepared to keep an unhappy player. OK, good. I trust that’s the last we’ll hear on the matter…
  
  Continuing with the end-of-term vibe, Arsenal aren’t convinced Luis Suarez will be joining them either. They’ve even lined up moves for Michu and Edin Dzeko to show everyone how unlikely it’s looking. There could be a snag with that Luiz Gustavo deal too. Napoli, late bid, again.
  
  More on Samuel Eto’o now. Chelsea are still considering a bid. That’s about it. Man City might make one more offer for Pepe too. £20m, take it or leave it.
  
  Juve are after Christian Eriksen, which might put Liverpool and Tottenham’s noses out of joint, but with Will.i.an also linked with a move to Anfield, you have to wonder how serious the Scousers were anyway. Spurs, meanwhile, have agreed a £3.5m fee with QPR for Scott Parker. Fulham could yet torpedo that one though, and we all know how much they love a veteran.
  
  And finally, Sam Allardyce wants to pair Andy Carroll up with Demba Ba. Can’t imagine Chelsea will stand in his way.

  Well this is an interesting one. Reports out of Uruguay (I know, I know...) are suggesting that Luis Suarez has put an end to all the unpleasantness and pledged his future to Liverpool.
  
  "The support of the fans in the last few weeks has influenced his decision", said the journalist in question, and "Suarez sees it as probable that he will renew his contract with Liverpool."
  
  So then, Liverpool fans, are you prepared to welcome him back in to the fold, to hold him tight against your proud and loyal bosoms? Or is he nothing more than a mercenary bastard on a backtrack after it became clear no-one was willing to stump up the required cash for his services?

  i would love to see luis saurez stay at liverpool and gareth bale at tottenham, finally some clubs are starting to find backbones and not get bullied by the players and agents. its the price of bale that has ruined saurez chance of a transfer because liverpool want a similar price for him.

  Still think Bale will go. With Suarez you have to wonder how keen Arsenal actually were on a deal after the £40m bid got rejected, not heard of any offers since then. And if it's not Arsenal, where else is he going to go? The whole 'staying for the fans' spiel is bollocks, he just ran out of options.

  tottenham have signed etienne capoue from toulouse for around £9m, good strong player not bad at cb either. looks like arsenal are gonna miss out on another player talk is gustavo is heading to wolfsberg.

  looks like man utd aren't giving up on fabregas, apparently they are making another bid for him. i can't see him leaving barca, think they are wasting their time chasing after him.
