As always, we’ll kick the weekend off with some recycled fluff. Barcelona want David Luiz and will offer Chelsea £25m. Man City will bid £15m for Real Madrid centre-half Pepe. That’s that out of the way.
Real have had an £81m bid for Gareth Bale rejected, if the Sun are to be believed. Whatever happened to starting low? And as much as Spurs want to keep him, could they really reject that sort of offer? Either way, he wants to go by the sounds of it.
Man Utd and Napoli have been linked with PSG midfielder Marco Veratti, but the French champions are having none of it. They’re not really under any pressure to sell, in fairness.
There’s quite the huddle of clubs sniffing around Scott Sinclair. Southampton have joined West Brom and Stoke in declaring an interest, but Everton remain favourites to land the 24-year-old winger. We’re talking permanent transfers here by the way, none of that loan nonsense.
And Newcastle will have to shell out £8.6m if they want Lyon’s Bafetimbi Gomis. I genuinely feel for Joe Kinnear there, it’s a mouthful.
