Chelsea have muscled in on Spurs’ Will.i.an action and made a £32m bid for the Brazil international. The Mail reckon this has made Daniel Levy so angry that he wants to cancel Gareth Bale’s move to Real Madrid. Not quite sure on the logic behind that one if I’m honest, but the generally accepted view is that the deal will be tied up in the next few days, as will Tottenham’s moves for Erik Lamela and Miralem Pjanic.
Madrid clearly aren’t too fussed about all that Financial Fair Play stuff. As well as signing Bale, they could be about to make a bid for Luis Suarez. Arsenal will hope they’re successful, they won’t be signing Karim Benzema otherwise.
Scott Sinclair has completed his season-long loan move to West Brom, Julio Cesar could be about to swap QPR for Benfica in a deal worth £3.5m and Sunderland want to borrow Swansea’s Ki Sung-Yeung for a season.
And that’s about it. Quiet. Too quiet, some might say…
