Trainwreck: Woodstock '99

Great documentary about the riotous festival that was supposed to be a seqeul to the peace loving festival of the same name from the sixties. The makers got to interview the organisers, musicians, attendees, security staff and journalists that all saw the event unfold. From the offset it appeared to be a failure in planning and selecting an unstable location. Attendees were furious as soon as they entered the festival because they were being charged four dollars for a bottle of water, women were sexually assaulted, litter was left all over the place, the toilets were crap and there was a heatwave. Each night the crowd became more rambunctious. Korn played Friday, Limp Bizkit on Saturday and Red Hot Chilli Peppers on Sunday were pretty much the catalysts that eventually led up to the entire event turning into a lawless post-apocalyptic warzone that George Miller would be shocked by. Even security tried to escape because they couldn't control what was going on.
