Toyota are making a hovercar

A car that could in a way sort of fly? Toyota are in production of making hovering cars maybe a bit like this:




They want to try and levitate the car off the ground which will increase efficiency. The question is will it? If a car is hovering, wouldn't it be using a lot of fuel to maintain the hover state?

I suppose it is now time for hovering cars. I mean congestion on the road will be reduced but crashing in mid-air will be on the up.

How easy will it be to design such a concept for cars? Hopefully we can see where this goes. This is just a concept to hover which if it works well could become flying cars.

Looks pretty sweet, I'd like to see more actually details on it if there are any.

Is it just me though or is it every year in the 2000's that someone is supposedly producing a hover car?!! Just saying... a lot of companies have a hard enough time pushing through actual reasonable concept cars to the production line, let alone something like this. >.<
