I know that we are attracting more and more new people to our forum, so I though that it may be useful to pass on some tips and offer my own thoughts on video ratings in particular.
We have a guy using this website who I will call Mr. One Star. For the uninitiated, one star is the worst possible rating you can give to a video. i have noticed a trend where many videos and Thai Chat videos in particular are given a one star rating, within minutes of them being published. To this guy, it does not matter how good the show is, he will give it one star. He seems particularly biased against Thai Chat, as even a sensational aftershow such as last weeks show with Daisy and Kitty gets that worst possible review from him of one star.
What this means is that all their videos are being downgraded and will affect their popularity amongst viewers who are looking for 5 star ratings. this in turn will reduce their number of views and further marginalise the channel. If I give a great Thai Chat video the maximum 5 stars because it fully deserves it and he comes along later and gives it a one star rating, it automatically become a mediocre 3 star video to those seeing it later.
We fans of Thai Chat can do nothing to stop him carrying on doing this, as he never seems to get fed up on his merciless mission, but we can at least respond by giving our own high ratings to Thai Chat videos which will temper the effect on the overall rating. I suspect that many of us watch and enjoy these videos and give no rating at all which plays into his hands, so why don't we do our bit to try and dilute his bigoted opinion by giving deserved high ratings where they apply. -

I specifically mentioned things not videos in the name of this thread as I wanted to give some tips to anyone who is not aware of certain features of this website.
It isn't only videos that can be rated, so can threads as well. When you look at the list of the threads for Thai Chat for example, you will see a set of 5 stars against each thread. If they are gold then that is the rating the thread has been given by others. You will see though that most of the threads have no colour in their stars, which means that those threads currently have no rating at all. Some of these threads have had lots of views and even lots of posts too yest still have not been rated.
It is easy to rate a thread by clicking on the number of stars you wish to give to it, from 1 star to 5 stars. I am sure that many of the old hands reading this will know this already but it may be useful information for people who are newer to the site. -

In addition to threads and videos, it is also possible to rate other users too. After someone's post their is a row of pink buttons which you can click on. To the right of the REPLY button is button with the character '+'. Clicking on this gives you an opportunity to add to someone's reputation by various degrees. You can even give a reason why you are doing this if you want but that is purely optional.
I mention this because it took me 3 years to figure this out for myself! Lol. -

I think that is the reason why I raised the issue Mark. A lot of people who are overwhelmed by the massive choice available here may well use ratings to avoid wasting their time with average videos and think, sometimes mistakenly, that they are getting the cream of the crop.
I am always passionately trying to promote the channel and raise its profile to attract new fans to it, which ironically is something Babestation does not do. I see high star ratings as a way to get new people to view the girls for the first time and then perhaps get hooked by their natural beauty and charm to become regular watchers and supporters of the show. -

I didn't know about the '+' reputation button, so thanks for that info Duke. There is quite a lot to this forum compared to others, then again I haven't used forums for a good long while and only this one for Thai Chat has brought me back to using them again.
The video ratings, along with number of views, can be useful especially as the video titles and tags don't give too much away most of the time, but I know only too well how misleading they can be. I tend to just watch any video that takes my fancy and skip through it to get a general gist of what it's like and whether it's worth watching fully. Skip to the end.... -

This thread has fallen by the wayside to the extent that it was loitering on page 2 of the threads and so out of sight to most. Some people are still unsure about what a person's green reputation score is all about and how it is earned, so I have resurrected it again for more new people to read.
