This male author knows nothing about how women pee

Why am I only now discovering the brilliant passage from John Updike’s book, The Witches of Eastwick. I know, maybe it’s because I’m lazy and only ever read magazines! Anyhoo, there’s a part in the book that talks about how female bodily functions work or at least how the author THINKS they work. The dude called female urination a "maze," and he legit believes that men are better at peeing in general. Check out the passage from the book:

 

It’s true. I’ve been sitting on the loo for over half an hour trying to get the pee to come out of my confusing woman’s body. Dammit, I wish I knew how to pee like a man.
