  Sony have recently released a trailer for the long anticipated remake of Final Fantasy 7
  
  
  
  and they've ruined it :/
  
  
  
  They've removed one of the best elements, the battle system, and replaced it with a shitter version more akin that that of later games in the series

  But now to top it off, they're making it into episodes, probably to spin more money

  I know everyone is ripping the shit outa ff7 because the fighting system is different iv played and finished ff7 and yes I was looking it to be just a better looking version with great story cut scenes but all you guys need to chill out and just bloody enjoy the game 1 it's still gona be a great game 2 it's still the same game just ur playing it different 3 u don't own it and I think the people who made it have a better understanding of how they want there game to be and 4 just be glad u are getting to experience ff7 again and feel lucky

  Well from the look of that trailer, i cant say im overly impressed with what ive seen. As much as i love the battle system from the original FF7.. theyre probably (maybe) thinking that its outdated and theyre maybe just trying to keep up with the times. I mean if most of us had our way then we would throw the original battle system into it.
  Maybe when we start playing it and we get a nostalgia injection and see all these places we knew from the original, graphically updated and looking better, we might start to really enjoy it. Places like Gold Saucer, Northern Crater, Costa Del Sol, Midgar, Nibelheim, Wutai.. so on. I hope they keep the music sounding original enough though :) I find music a big part of games... along with other stuff ofc :P
  Personally i wouldnt mind playing the original with HD graphics :):):) And maybe this time when the sword goes through Aeris, we might get some blood :D
  Ive seen many comments from many many people about how crap FF13 is.. and ive got it to play but i havent got around to it yet. But going on peoples comments, i cant say im really excited :( Alot of comments describe the game as going through one long corridor, doing the same thing over and over again. I guess the proof is in the pudding though.
  I will say that Square Enix are brave for making a remake of this brilliant game :P Either theyre gonna grab a bunch of new fans or alienate the current ones (who will say 'bollocks to you, im getting my PS1 version back out').. or both!!!

  Oh and the episodes thing is a fckin joke imo. All about money. I wonder how many of the remake staff actually love the original game :(

  The different combat system isn't promising to be honest, I get that they might consider the old system outdated now but I'm not sure I like the look of that. The game being in episodes however, that's just pointless, rather buy a full game then pay more for every damn segment.
