There's a vagina museum coming to London!

The world’s vagina museum is set to open in London later this year but before you go getting all excited - it needs to raise £300,000 first.

 

Pussy museum founder, Florence Schechter launched a crowdfunding campaign on Friday asking for donations that will go towards organising exhibitions, comedy nights and performers at the museum.

 

Although The Vagina Museum launched as pop-up project a few years back, this will be the first bricks and mortar site, which will probably be around the Camden Market area. The projects aim is to focus on removing the stigma that surrounds discussions of vaginas while highlighting other issues such as body image. Here’s what Florence has to say: 
 

Our top priority is to fight the taboo that surrounds our bodies and provide a place where we can have an open and honest conversation.

 
I mean is there really such a stigma around discussing vaginas? I speak about fannies on the daily. Ain’t no stigma here! 

 

As well as hosting comedy nights and social events, the museum will also display pussy-related item such as embroidered vulvas and crocheted clits.
