The Academy might as well just give Voila Davis her a Best Actress Oscar nomination now. The supporting cast of John Boyega and Lashana Lynch are going to be great. Gina Prince-Bythewood has shown in The Old Guard that she can direct action scenes really well. I hope this becomes a critical and commercial success that leads into more of these types of films being made that cover the unknown parts of world history.

This is a fantastic film. Gina Prince-Bythewood continues to prove why she is a great director, and it's only made me more excited to see the sequel to The Old Guard. Viola Davis as always puts in another stellar performance. Lashana Lynch continues to show that she's one of the most versatile actors in the world. John Boyega is great as always. Thuso Mbedu is a rising star with so much potential.
