  Ah, Eph's kid..what annoying little git his character is..made all the more aparent as the season/s progressed. Given his most recent exploits now he has monumentaly fucked up. To be honest the only characters i really like on the show are the half breed vamp who assists our heroes (and is a bad ass to boot) and the masters right hand man (sadly cant recall his name either, really like him as he is both evil and bad ass in equal measure). With only 1 season to go i dont like the odds as far as Eph becoming more like he was in the early days. Reckon he is gonna wind up being just as much of a div throughout now.

  Oh Eph's son is an annoying little dick. Who apparently lost all common sense and doesn't seem to realise that the vampires are literally trying to wipe out humanity. I like Quinlan (the half breed) and i mostly like Fet (except for times in the last few eps were he was annoying too). And i liked Eichorst, but i think it's time he was killed off (he's been almost killed and managed to escape way too many times now).

  Was originally gonna wait for the 4th and final season of 'The Strain' to put in an appearance on uk tv before giving it a looksee. Blame the shocking lack of decent tv at this time of year for me back tracking on that and procuring from the states. Any who, season 4 is now under way and, given the events at the tail end of season 3, if the return episode is anything to go by, probably a good thing that this is the shows final season. Disjointed, uninteresting (despite the killing)..really feels as though something is missing. If it wasnt for that bad ass sgood guy Strigoi (you know, matey with the sword), episode would have been kind of a waste.

  Abother episode of the final season down..and another pretty pointless one. A mild spoiler but the first 2 episodes have been more concerned with seeing what our now divided supposed heroes are up to, either on their lonesome of teir splinter groups..and as it stands, given that theres only, i believe, 8 episodes left and thats it, not a lot). Think the show has run out of steam..its now simply following it to its conclusion for the sake of the hours already put in. A shame but this looks like one show that will bow out on a whimper and not a bang.

  Admitedly slightly more action during this most recent us broadcast episode but the show is far, far less dark and certainly less violent this season..and certainly more dull as a consequence. Even a considerabe victory on the part of our wet weekend heroes felt like a 'meh' moment. Just watching the final season now for the sake of completion (cant believe how much screen time Eph's muppet of a son is getting..who gives a shit about him fancying someone..really dropped the ball with this final season).

  Waiting patiently for Watch (think that's the channel) to get their act together and start showing this. But if the character of Eph's son is similar to the book at the same stage he doesn't get any less annoying for a while. Hoping Eph himself will be less of a moron in the last season though, his intelligence has seemed to have dropped off comparatively with his son's increasing annoyingness.

  Hmm, thats strange. Have just had a looksee for ya jesslloydfan and cant seem to find a mention off a uk start date. If memory serves it wasnt, with previous seasons, all that long after the states so seems weird that watch hasnt provided any info. Nope, Eph is still a plank (even more so than usual if you ask me this season), many of the characters are off doing seemmingly pointless things and Eph's son..nope, still the annoying brat weve come to dislike (especially on the back of his actions come the end of the previous season). This weeks instalment did absolutely nothing to renew my faith in the show or its final season and giving how much time it is spending pottering around completely pointless eements of the story, given how short a time it has lefty..its really gonna have to pull its finger out.

  Well I'm not sure how the last season plays out, still waiting on the slow arse uk broadcast... Sure it'll happen soon, he says hopefully.
  But anyway, I always thought the final book (the last season) would be the one ideally suited for two seasons, instead they gave two to the second one for an extra long buildup. So that surprised me.

  So it's not looking good for the last season of this to hit the UK (legally) anytime soon, apparently W have quietly dropped the show. With one bloody season left, so unless someone picks it up it will be difficult to catch it.

  after all our bad mouthing re: Gotham and Channel 5 (deservedly so), couldnt believe that another channel would pull what appears to be a similar stunt and lo behold, reports do indicate that w has dropped 'The Strain' with only its final season to go. Dont get me wrong, this final season is really shaping up piss poor at the moment but treatment wise by Watch..an absolute disgrace. Hopefully another channel will pick it up, if not, looks like i wont be the only one watching it on the dodge.
