  Based on a true story, The Revenant is about one man's story of survival and the power of the human spirit. In an expedition of the American wilderness, an explorer is attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. It's got a pretty awesome cast including Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy so I'll definitely be watching this one.

  Thanks for posting the trailer for 'The Revenant', ReedeFox. I was aware o the film beiing made but wasnt up on the specifics. This does actually look pretty decent and Tom Hardy rarely puts a foot wrong. Will check this out on its home release.

  Decided to give this a look the other day with the family. Have gotta say, its actually pretty damn good but i can see it being an aquired taste. There are a few very powerful scenes in the film (possibly the most seemingly authentic bear attack, in my opinion, commited to a motion picture to date) and, based on the awards season contenders i have watched so far Leo is my running fave for best actor..his performance in this is fantastic. The thing thatmay put some off, asides from the incredibly simplistic plot is that, at times, it really does plod so you sometimes really are aware of the films 2 and a half hour run time. Would definatly recommend checking it out (despite the incredibly predictable ending).
