What an incredible show. Chloe Grace Moretz carries this entire season on her back so effortlessly. Our introduction into this story is from the perspective of Flynne, who is trying her best to look her her terminally ill mother alongside her brother who is a former marine. With them both struggling financially to pay for her medication, they take on secondary jobs playing virtual reality computer games to earn a little bit more cash. One day they are sent a prototype VR device to play for a significant amount of money, and then their lives change forever. Chloe is surrounded by a stellar supporting cast. Jack Reynor and Melinda Page Hamilton play Flynne's brother and mother, and those three provide the emotional core of the show. T'Nia Miller, JJ Feild, Eli Goree, Alexandra Billings and Louis Herthum all put in outstanding performances in their roles. There is a post-credit sceneat the end of the final episode, that sets up a subplot for the second season.
