The Open - Jordan Speith, Beef Johnston

It has been a great three days of action at Birkdale, with little doubt that Speith is the star of the show. Bouncing back from some abject performances in majors since his collapse last year at Augusta.
If he crosses the line, as looks likely, he will cement his position as the superstar of world golf, yes he'd be one major behind Rory but he's frankly streets ahead of him in terms of potential and all round ability. I truly believe victory today will send the Texan on his way to 12 plus majors and at least one grand slam.
On a side note, I was unimpressed with comments made on Talk Sport about Beef Johnston, top level pro golfers are criticised for being distant and detached from fans yet Beef is labelled a clown for being the opposite, and this from two guys who, like many of the older presenters on that channel, are out of touch and arrogant themselves, what a joke
