  Got around to downloading the 70's set action comedy 'The Nice Guys' last weekend and watched it promptly after. Has anyone else seen the film? What did you think? The fact that Ryan Reyolds has not (to my knowledge) done a comedy prior to this and that Russell Crowe was attempting comedy did mean on firing this up that i basically had myself at the ready to abruptly turn it off. Then the strangest of things happened..this actually turned out to be both pretty damn good and also pretty funny in places with some proper laugh out lloud moments. Reputable performances, a killer 70's soundtrack and with the action and comedy on point..what more can you ask. This is not gonna be to everyones taste but, personally, i was pleasently suprised. Recommended.

  lol looks like it will be worth the watch saw some funny moments on the trailer, and looks like it has a fun story line, i will check this one out as soon as it comes on sky tv

  Wasnt expecting it to be anything like the film I'd anticipated, without spoilering it its actually the funniest film of the year by some distance gosling in particular was comedy gold.

  I'll give this one a go. Even though he is a good actor, Russell Crowe tends to put me off of a film so I've avoided it but if you say it's funny then I'll try it.
