It’s been 2 decades since The Matrix first came out and yet it’s still one of the most iconic talked-about and movie franchises of all time. You may remember a few months ago I posted an article about the possibility of a fourth Matrix movie and we go finally have news that it’s definitely going ahead.
It was announced that both Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will be returning for the fourth instalment, along with original director Lana Wachowski, who will write and direct the new movie. There’s no news on whether Laurence Fishburne will be back yet, but word on the street is that his character will be played by a younger actor. Here’s the official announcement made by Warner Bros:

How exciting! Also, ‘New Chapter’ sounds like it might be a prequel but that’s just speculation so far. More details as they arrive... -

i watched the Matrix again recently when a cinema did a 20th Anniversary, i couldnt be more hyped, although the franchise probably should have been left untouched, but who knows only time will tell -

i just saw a video called matrix movie explained on youtube, u should all go watch that it will make u want to watch the first one again, and im super looking forward to this matrix 4 -

Just watched the Matrix 4 Trailer Is Anyone else confused. Feels like it taking us back to the beginning again with him rediscovering the matrix not sure if this is the Neo from the three other movies or a different Neo were just meeting, but confused why he taking blue pills if doesn't know about the Matrix already. It's weird seeing some one trying to take off Morpheus and kinda redoing that fight seen from the first Matrix.
Looks like it's got a lot of action in it and I think there might a couple twist looking at the trailer and hoping it turns out to be a good movie as they have a few original actors back for this. But be nice to see one or two more of them maybe surprise cameos. But still not sure what the story is in this thought I would get a lot more after seeing the trailer. Will we see Carrie-Anne Moss back in that black pvc outfit again and Neo in that black jacket again with the black sunglasses. -

I suspect that The Matrix Resurrections will mess with everyone's minds as much as the first three films, Animatrix and two video games did. The choice of using Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit was a perfect song for the trailer. The lyrics synched brilliantly with the images, especially the parts when Thomas Anderson took the blue pill, when he pours them down the sink, Priyanka Chopra had the Alice in Wonderland book and when Jessica Henwick revealed her White Rabbit tattoo. Whilst a lot of the trailer seems to take place in the Matrix, we do still get some shots of the real world. So maybe we might see Zion too. Yahya Abdul Mateen II does look like he could be some version of Morpheus, but there are shots were it looks like he discovers he's living in Matrix before he offers Thomas a red pill. There are a lot of visual echoes of the original trilogy in the trailer and the teaser clips, like the dojo scene, the helicopter by the skyscraper scene, the looking up in the elevator scene, light in the doorway scene, the watery mirror scene, the gun in the sprinkler scene, the hotel hallway scene etc. Jada Pinkett-Smith is in the cast list, so maybe Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving might be in it too. I guess they'll release another trailer in November, which will hopefully give us just a little bit more information on the story of the film.

I'm so excited to watch The Matrix Resurrections. Seeing Jada Pinkett-Smith in the behind the scenes preview has got me intrigued as to how Niobi will play a part in this instalment. Prianka Chopra and Jessica Henwicks' characters have got me intrigued too. I know everyone is talking about how Laurence Fishburne hasn't returned, but I'm slightly more interested in seeing if Hugo Weaving will return in some way shape or form. Agent Smith is one of the greatest movie villains ever, along with Darth Vader, Hans Gruber, Hans Lander and Thanos. -
