Oh joy, another remake. I happened to notice the remake of 'The magnificent 7' available for download yesterday. Despite my apprehension towards remakes and the mixed reviews from when it was released at the cinema i thought 'Hey, why not'..and im kinda glad i did. Have got to mention that i have never seen the original so i cant draw comparisons but if im understanding corectly, the original is a classic. This reboot, directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Denzel Washington, Chris pratt etc..was actually pretty enjoyable. A likeable cast, ample action, good banter between the team themselves. Only real critiscism is that while the film would have suffered if it had rushed, at some points during the film you really are consious of how long the film is as it can tend to drag in places but, stick with it. All in all i enjoyed the film and, somewhere down the line, would certainly consider watching it again.
