  I bloody love The Jungle Book as a kid so I'm super excited Disney have finally made this movie. It's got a pretty awesome cast too - starring Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Christoper Walken and Scarlett Johansson. This trailer looks epic!

  oh god no, but they're churning out all the oldies at the mo. Im dreading seeing Emma Watson as Belle. That's one girl I just don't get, she looks like a prepubescent boy to me.

  Thanks for posting the trailer for this, reedefox. Was not aware before a couple of days ago that this was even being made. Have gotta admit, visually the film looks absolutely gorgeous. Unlikely tat i will rush to the cinema to see this but will certainly give it a look on its inevitable future home release. Its disney, disney, disney at the mo. What with this , beauty and the beast and the announcement that a Mary Poppins sequel is in the works (apparently Anne Hatthaway is being eyed up to play Mary Poppins).

  I'd heard this was being made, and having enjoyed the animated version when I was younger was a bit apprehensive of a live action film. But it actually looks pretty good and it's a very good cast. Strange fact there is another live action version of Jungle book in development which is planned for release in 2017, I think two versions of the same story in two years is a bit pointless.

  2 different Jungle book movies in 2 years!. The Jon Favreau one out soon is obviously a live action / cgi combo. Wonder if Jungle book : Origins (the 2017 one to be directed by Andy Serkis...has he directed a film before) will also be a combo of both of purely a cgi or animated offering. Think its safe to assume that the 2017 one will be a different tale but with familiar characters / elements but, even so, is 2 Jungle Book movies in 2 years too much?

  There has been little information about the 2017 one, only thing I do know is King Louie won't be in it. Apparently, and i did not know this before, he was created for the animated Disney version, so while he can be in this he can't be used by others. And frankly I don't care if he isn't in the original book, apparently, no King Louie is not right.
  And yes two versions in two years is definitely too much, also no disrespect to Serkis, but I trust Favreau more as a director.

  On looking into it, although Andy Serkis has been involved a few times previously in a assistant / 2nd unit director caacity (on each of the films in the Hobbit trilogy), this is his first stab at being in the big chair. Favreau however is tried and tested at this sort of thing with a sizeable degree of sucess.

  Ahhh just watched the trailer again , looks so epic , haha agreed mowgli looks like a right clown haha. Absolutely buzzing good to see a trailer not give too much away hopefully different from the original animation and was defo a good trailer with baloo whistling at the end. THE NOSTALGIA
