A BRILLIANT young horsewoman once tipped as one of England 2012's brightest hopes has THRONE aside her Olympic dream for a career in porn.

Megan Cox, 21, was judged the most talented of her year group in dressage competitions throughout her teens, and with top grades in her A-levels won a coveted place to study horse science at university.

But she swapped that dream for a life on screen after money worries and a dash of youthful rebellion.

And instead, she's riding to fame as a porn star after winning the Best New Starlet award at this week's Shafta awards - and playing future queen Kate Middleton in a raunchy adult spoof of the Royal Wedding.

Meg - who performs under the name Megan Coxxx - said: "I was aiming for the 2012 Olympics but I hated being a poor student and it all got too much so I gave it up. I quit my degree for porn!

"I'd rather be earning money and having fun than getting saddled with thousands of pounds of debt."

Megan was being groomed for success in dressage - the sport known as horse ballet made popular by Princess Anne - from almost as soon as she had learned to walk.

Her wealthy family owned a house in Southampton with stables and a menage ring and she was given her first pony aged four.

By her teens she was winning youth competitions all over the country after being trained by Katie Price's riding teacher Andrew Gould.

She said: "I come from a very sporty family. My mum always loved horses and I got my first pony when I was four years old. It just went on from there.

"I'd go out with my dad, who's a solicitor, every morning at 6am before school to muck out and ride one of the horses, then I'd come home from school and ride the other one.

"I didn't have a social life because I was always riding or away for competitions, so whenever I did get a chance to go out to a party I always made sure I got some action.

"That's when everyone started saying I should go into porn!"

With A-levels in Law, English and Psychology, Megan won a sought-after place to study at Nottingham Trent University. But she found life on a student income impossible.

She said: "All my other friends were getting money sent to them by their parents, but mine had always said if you want something you have to work for it. I tried working in the bar but I was getting hassled by the customers and it wasn't bringing in enough money.

"I saw an ad on a modelling website and I'd done a bit of fashion modelling in my teens, just bits and pieces. It's always interested me because I used to watch Eurotrash, and I loved Lola Ferrari. So I went to a casting session and they liked me.

"I'd never even gone topless before but I just went straight in. My first shoot was with another girl. I had a bottle of wine before and I had a whale of a time. I'd never so much as kissed a woman before.

"As the offers of work built up I kept putting my university work off for shoots and after a few months I quit."

Her career change caused some friction with her family and her boyfriend, and she stayed in Nottingham rather than return home. Her younger sister is also a talented young sportswoman who won a golf scholarship to study at university in the US.

But Meg said: "I tell my boyfriend that even though I do this for a living in the daytime, it's him I come home to every night. He has to put up with it!

"I've told my parents about some of the work I do and they've seen some of my stuff but when I see them it's something we choose not to talk about.

"Now I have a nice lifestyle, I earn enough money to live on and I've had a few offers for work over in LA but I'm not in any rush.

"I'm enjoying it at the moment. I'll stop when I'm no longer having fun but I can't say when that is."

Meg's crowning achievement so far is playing Kate in Television X special The Royal Romp, due out to coincide with the Royal nuptials.

She said: "It sounds funny, but I felt quite honoured to be Kate. I'd done a series for a production company and they asked me straight off if I wanted to do it.

"We were joking on the set about whether Kate has a kinky side. She always looks so buttoned-up when you see her in pictures but who knows what goes on behind closed doors?!

"As for Wills, he's an attractive young man but he's not my type - I like guys who are tall, dark and handsome.

"Kate and I are similar in some respects but while she went along with what her parents wanted I took a U-turn and did the complete opposite. I was fed up being told what I was going to do with my life so I decided to have an adventure instead."

fair play to her. she seems to be a very intelligent, talented young woman who has found herself a career in which she would like to explore.
she is doing very well for herself.

for the record, i think she is HOT!!!!!!
