  Can't wait for this film, the amount of action stars in that who've been confirmed so far,
  stallone
  statham
  Arnie
  Willis
  jet li, at least i think he's in it again
  Recently pretty much confirmed, van damme and chuck norris.
  There are actually more than that but i can't remember all their names alot more in the first who''l probably be reprising their roles,
  should be a great action film, i'll definately be watching it,
  anyone else planning on seeing it?

  Van Damme shoulda been in the first one JUST for Universal Soldier.
  I'd also like to see Steven Segal, I know he ain't the greatest actor in the world, but he has done so much, definitely deserves to be there.
  
  But yeah, Will definitely see this, a lot of people I know slated the first one, but I really enjoyed it, the classic action movie.

  I really liked the first one too, one of the few recent action films that wasn't watered down, proper action film,
  Segal has got a bit fat now, they're probably already asking him though lol,
  in regards to van damme being in the first i read that he was offered a role but refused it because it would of meant he'd have to lose to jet li, don't know how true that is though, either way he's in the second,
  plus bigger roles for arnie and willis which can only be a good thing.

  i did like the first film, but i didn't think it was as good as i thought it would be. i felt like while the action was good, it wasn't as big and great as it was made out it was going to be if that makes sense. i also felt that they sort of suffered from having so many big names in one film as it felt like they had to rush to give each of them their big fight as it were, but i am looking forward to the second one

  I'm a massive Jet Li fan, hope he gets a proper fight scene in the 2nd one.
  And I agree humiliate, when you have that many big stars in, they all need a fight scene, and they all want to look good so kinda means the story and action can only go one way.
  
  Also, like JLF said, can't imagine that many big named stars wanting to get beaten in their fightscene in the film, and that's a fairly decent reason as to why van damme would turn it down.
  
  Guess the only way they could make a truly amazing film was if everyone put their egos aside a little, including sly!
  
  and get an older girl this time sly, was bloody grim watchin u(60) with like a 25 yr old

  Oh yeah forgot about that bit, the love interest that he was almost three times older than lol,
  i think jet li will probably get a better fight scene in the next one, i'd be suprised if he didn't,
  i agree with you though, even though i really liked the first one,
  it would be better in a sequal if they ignored their egos a little,
  i'm not sure how they're going to handle a bigger role for arnie, he's probably got the biggest ego of all of them.

  I liked the first one but as you say there was an issue with the ego that needs to be addressed, and seeing as it was Sly's project i'm not sure that will be resolved for the sequel, we will see though as i'm bound to end up at the cinema to watch it.

  Yeah me too i'n definately gonna watch it, because i really liked the first one,
  will be interesting to see how they use so many actors in one film,
  sly isn't directing this time though i don't think, i'm sure i saw somewhere he's handed directing duties to someone else,
  but he'll obviously have final say in the end.
