Here we have the first trailer for Ana Lily Amirpour’s highly anticipated movie The Bad Batch.
The film reimagines the United States of America as a country that has opted to dispose of its undesirables—murderers, drug dealers, illegal immigrants, etc. into a wasteland in or near Texas that, officially, is not part of the United States. Those deemed part of the “Bad Batch” are tattooed with a number and dropped off outside an electric fence with nothing but the clothes on their back and a fast food cheeseburger in their hand. To make matters worse, the land which the Bad Batch inhabit is a desert; natural wildlife are in short supply, thus some have reverted to cannibalism in order to survive.

This looks different, a bit weird mind, but then i have seen the director's previous film and that was really weird too (wasn't overly fond of it though, a bit glacial in pace). The concept of this is interesting though so could be worth a watch and looks like more interesting things happen in this than his previous work just based on the trailer. -

yeah i agree it looks different but looks good to, im interested in watching this for sure, i like the look of that girl to she is hot, and i wonder if theirs more characters like that big mexican looking guy with the knives -

Glad the description deviated towards the end..thought for a minute i was reading the synopsis for the 3rd installment of the Kurt Russell starring 'Escape from..' movies (best he getts a shift on if Kurt is planning on playing snake again..he isnt getting any younger after all). This does sound like an interesting enough premise but honestly cant see myself visiting the cinea to see it. Definatly one on my home release viewing schedule. -

Gave 'The Bad Batch' a looksee with the fam the other day and, on a week of nothing but shit films, this one proved to be no exception. I didnt mind the films out there kooky nature nor its nod towards ***** movies but, sadly, despite its best efforts , despite featuring people being butchered and eaten (not throughout, occassionally) i was bored shitless. An impossibly simplistic plot, no real characters to root for (all just a real unlikeable bunch)..heck, the best thing about the film was the very original soundtrack which showed moments of brilliance. Sadly though, an unconventional but good soundtrack alaone cannot save a film. Ive seen many a film vying for '***** status' and love/like many..this certainly isnt one of them.
