While i was aware of this on its release, it wasnt exactly a film i was intending to rush and see. Saw 'The Accountant' crop up online and, on checking some online reviews, thought would give it a looksee..and am i ever glad i did..its a really good film. Has anyone else seen the film? What did you think?
Its hard to know what to say about the film without giving too much away so will keep it basic. The film stars, amongst others, Ben Affleck as the accountant of the title. The film tells of his somewhat unconventional accountant who performs services for individuals, both conventional and criminal alike. He also happens to have a special skill set which draws obvious comparrisons to John Wick and Keanu as the title character. The film falls into thriller territory and, as much as i hate to admit it, sees a fanatstic performance By Ben Affleck as the lead (i know, who would have thought it). Id say dont take the title on face value and assume its all drama and number crunching, this is far from that and all the better for it. If i were to critisize it would only be in regards to the obvious identity of 1 particular character and a finale which leave wanting a little bit. Recomended.
