Starwars the old republic has been opened for Closed beta testing this weekend, and I was lucky enough to get a key.
Infact, every single person I know that had applied for a key got one, so it should be a very busy beta.
Cannot wait to kill me some jedi! mwyuhayhaa!
I'll try write a bit about it and my thoughts to see if I can entice any of you lot over.
Do any of you have a key? If it's got all co-op stuff set-up, it would be nice to have a few people to piss about with.

I never played knights of the old republic or any of the related games, but I've heard the first one was brilliant, is this a sequel or a mmorpg? If its the former i'd be interested to hear your take on it? -

I got a key for the big weekend testing too.
It was so much better than I expected.
I've played a few mmo's (World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Dungeons & Dragons, City of Heroes, Star Trek Online, Conan) and the story driven class quests set The Old Republic apart from them all.
While that's a significant part of the game play, it's not all of it either. There is plenty of cross class content and group missions and zones, along with the usual PvP for those interested in killing fellow gamers.
As I said in another thread (possibly here) I was in two minds about this game, but after the beta weekend I ended up pre-ordering it and I'm really looking forward to getting my early access sometime from 13th - 20th.
We can give pissing about a go. It might come down to pure luck if we hit the same servers though dVIOUS. Feel free to PM me about it.
Oh, almost forgot. It is a follow on from the RPG games Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic 2 set in the same universe, with at least one big character connection to the original game.
