  I had heard rumors about this a little while ago. Just saw the first look promo flash up on youtube. In my opinion, it doesnt look half bad. Relativly light hearted yeah, but i dont know, looks like it could have potential. Will give it a look see when it ineviably appears in the uk (at some point).

  Personally I think this looks terrible. That outfit looks really bad to me, and it's so obviously aiming for the teenage girl audience it could get old very fast (that music at the end). And I think I've already seen half the plot points in the trailer. Don't have high hopes for this show at all.

  When you think about it, the show was never going to be as dark as Arrow or even the Flash.
  
  As long as they throw in some of the darker/nastier villains from the comic books, they'll get away with the interpersonal stuff.  It does bother me though that it's episode one and already three people know her secret and Jimmy Olsen has changed yet again.
  
  
  I'll give it then benefit of the doubt until I've seen more than just the teaser.

  Theres trailers and then theres trailers. This one, i admit,for me, was too long and a bit too informative. Keep it to a minute or so and let the viewing public work out the rest for themselves. A lighter tone is a given, unless it is purposely aiming for a different kind of market then its got some work ahead of it on account of what has come before it. Given the number of DC inspired shows that seem to be cropping up, hw long before we get another live action Batman show. As much as i like Gotham on occassion, im talking current not a prequel.

  This to me, from the trailer, looked all over the place. It seemed to be trying to do so many things within it. Her personal life, her superhero life, some shitty love story and best friend who helps her with everything. I will most likely watch a few episodes but i am not expecting much.

  Uh oh. I'm surprised that no one has mention how shitty special effects are in that trailer. The very first scene on Krypton in some sort of hangar have reminded me about Babylon 5 that was made about 20 years ago. It's like they are setting the bar as low as they can from the beginning.
  How it's possible I don't know but they have managed to get worse and worse witch each scene.
  This show is going to get cancelled after 7 episodes.

  Have gotta admit that some of the effects do look a bit ropey. I will definatly check this out purely bacause of what it is but it really could swing either way. Any word on when this is scheduled to arrive in the uk?

  Man is it just me or is everyone and anyone doing super hero movies the past few years? I know as film making gets better, you tend to remake movies for the next generation but there certainly has been a crazy amount of them lately!

  Sorry for this imdamann88 but you do realise that what is being discussed is the Supergirl tv show and not a remake of the movie. The movie cant be remade (i wont allow it haha). Reason being you cant substitute anyone for the fitties that are Helen Slater (Supergirl) and, for me personally, Maureen Teefy (Lucy Lane).

  If you didn't notice by now there was a leak and 6 months before the TV premier you can torrent pilot episode of the show.
  I haven't seen it and after reading some reviews not planning to. It seems that the first trailer was 100% accurate - it's a show for 13y old girls.
