Given the fact that t's not technicaly been released here yet in the uk, asking if anyone else has seen the film may be a redundant question..that said i watched Tom Hanks latest offering 'Sully' the other day with my family. Directed by Clint Eastwood and also starring Aaronn Eckheart the film is the The story of Chesley Sullenberger, an American pilot who became a hero after landing his damaged plane on the Hudson River in order to save the flight's passengers and crew in january 2009. On the face of things i didnt think i ws going to enjoy the film, instead what happened was we all wound up enjoying the film. Expertly directed, the leads delivered fantastic performances. The film itself wasnt structured in that the event itself formed the climax of the film, moreas the films wrap around focuses on the events after the incident with the events themselves cropping up throughout. This could have so easily just been another of those yawn inducing, back and forth films but this has been so well crafted that it never gets dull, even during some of the quieter scenes. Recomended.
