You know how it is, you look for something to watch with your new years day lunch, you have exhausted all the films you want to see so then its down to chucking on one you dont really fancy but others at home may (with the intention of getting up straight after to tidy up so you are free afterwards). Decided to stick on Suffragette starring Carey Mulligan and Helena Bonham Carter. The strangest thing then happened. I was thouroughly taken in by the film and we watched from start to finish without moving, it was that good. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? Fantastic performances all round, but the stand out is definatly Mulligan..shes phenomonal in this. Nicely paced, never boring or drags..ust a great film. Recommend checking it out (this has gotta stand some kinda chance during awards season either for film, actress or both).
