  The nominations for this year's award have just been announced:
  
  Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
  Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
  Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool)
  Yaya Toure (Man City)
  Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
  Adam Lallana (Southampton)
  
  No surprise to see the Liverpool trio up there, nor Toure and Hazard, but Lallana? He's had a great season but that still comes as something of a shock. Anyone you'd have preferred to see on the list?

  personally any spurs player could win it for all i care but not a scouser,fuck thats all we are hearing about at the moment,fuck are they made off gold or something,me jealous noway i rather any other team win the league cept them.

  For me it has to be Adam Lallana, then again, I may be slightly biased, what with being a Southampton supporter... :P Nice to see 3 Englishmen in the 6 though!

  Having watched him since he broke into the first team a fair while back now, he has grown soooo much! He doesn't really have the pace or the power to challenge a defender, but oh boy, he has 2 magical feet on him! He's a joy to watch, I wish more English players tried to emulate him!
