If you like Stephen King then you're going to go batshit for his new anthology series, Castle Rock, which critics are calling a 'must-watch for Stephen King fans'.
The show is brought to you by JJ Abrams' production company and is centred around death row attorney, Henry Deaver (André Holland), as he returns to his hometown upon the discovery of a crazy inmate (Bill Skarsgård). It's a pretty big cast, and I like that they've roped in the dude who played Pennywise in 2017's It. The dude clearly has experience in playing a creepy character so I've got high hopes for this.

Yup, that looks like it's going to be right up my street. Castle Rock will be available to stream on Hulu on 25th July. -

Was not even aware of the shows existence before a few days ago. Now, the more i read, the more i wanna give the show a looksee (especially given the show graveyard that s summertime). Whether this stands up to the greats (first 5 seasons of American Horror Story, Channel Zero etc) remains to be seen. Will be all over this come 25th July. -

Looks really interesting, love Stephen Kings’ books and the concept of making an original series that encompasses ideas from various books is different. Just a shame it’s on Hulu, which provide no option for UK viewing aside from potentially an endless wait for it to appear or not so legal means. Shame it’s not Netflix. -

this looks really interesting to me, it seems like this guy is the devil and he making people commit suicide, actually thought this was a movie at first but know i know its a series i cant wait to binge watch it -

THis does look like it has bags of potential (that said though, so have all the the Stephen King material inspired shows..with wildly varying levels of quality and success). Making the show not so easily accessible to uk viewers though..making things difficult on that front will invariably lead to us watching on the dodge. This said 'Runaways' aired on Hulu and cropped up in the uk on syfy channel shortly after + thinkj im right in saying 'The Handmaids Tale' is another Hulu job and that showed up pretty prompt on E4..so i would'nt rule it out cropping up on more conventional tv sooner rather than later just yet (i'll be doing on the dodge though and will review..all coy with the details like..just after). -

ohh dont tell me this is a hulu exclusive again isit, last time i wanted to watch a hulu exclusive i had to watch it like 3 months late, want to watch this along with everyone else -

As promised, i got around to checking out 'Castle Rock' yesterday and, as it stands, im on the fence. As predicted, Bill Skarsgard is at his creepy best in this. Come the end of the 1st episode you have plenty of insight into that. I watched the 1st episode but fell asleep, through boredom, during the 2nd. I do want to give the show a chance so i will return to the episode. Shawshank fans rejoice..even during the 1st 2 episodes it's featured a plenty. Gore fans may be left feeling a little disheartened..the series appears to be going more for a creepy, supernatural mystery vibe..thats not to say though that theres not a deat or 2 as early as the 1st episode. Jury's out on the series at the moment but with a promising opener..will have to see what happens. -

well i always give a on the fence series and 3 episode chance to keep me watching, so when i watch ill give it just that but doesnt sound to promising after reading what u said about it -

Afraid ive shown 'Castle Rock' the door, folks. Gave it the 1st 3 episodes but couldn't stomach any more. Not because of the gore, horror, intensity..because i was so flamin bored. Don't mind a slow burner but theres way too much focus on incredibly boring characters. The 3rd episode was the series death nail for me. It heavily features a character played by the woman who played Rose in 'two and a half men'. Was curious too see what she could bring to a dramatic horror role..turns out nothing but boredom. The series may improve, who knows, but iv'e had all i can stand.
