Now you mention it jesslloydfan, Andy Serkis was meant to be doing motion capture for the film (had forgotten about him). Suppose cgi primary characters can be good..if done well (take yoda for instance in the first 3 episodes..atleast im assuming he was purely cgi with an element of motion capture thrown in).
