Got around to checking this out last weekend and personally, i enjoyed it far more than the carbon copy that was 'The Force Awakens'. Likeable, if lets be honest, ultimatly forgettable characters, a classic character that was doone a bit of a diservice given their limited screen time and, for me, a pretty questionable, underwhelming ending. All those gripes aside, i couldnt actually fault the characters (really do wish had seen far more martial arts from, was it Donnie Yen's character). The film never really got bogged down or lagged..it did seem to move forward at a nice pace. Where this really shone for me though were the action set pieces..in particular a certain land based battle in the relative close confines of a city and a very memorable space battle..thoses stood out in particular for me. Its no secret at all theat Vadar does appear in this and, whilst he doesnt have nearly enough screen time, what he pulls out of the bag is pretty badass. All in all, a thouroughly enjoyable ride.
