Am gonna have to eat a little slice of humble pie here. Despite my pre judgements of this film, as it was on download, i decided to give it a go. Have gotta say that i despised Melissa McCarthy. Have seen all her films too date, i suppose in some vague hope that atleast one of them may be even remotely funny. I have hated each and every one..until now. Watched this with sunday lunch and actually really enjoyed the film. The cast, the humour, the endless put downs, the slapstick..they all really worked in this film. The only downside was Miranda Hart in this (cant stand her on the tv or in this). On the whole though, this is a funny, fun ride.

Seen this over the weekend as well, and also had my reservations, but I was really surprised too. Jason Stathom was a legend in it, more than a few one liners that had me laughing my feccin head off.

Glad you enjoyed the film, orionmetus. This film really caught me by suprise. Given my dislike for all things Melissa Mccarthy, initially i was trying to force myself not to laugh during this but in no time flat i was rolling up. It was the put downs that got me. Being delivered by most of the cast with perfection, it was hilarious. My only critiscism, Miranda fucking Hart. Not funny on television, not funny in this. Dont let that niggle put anyone off though, this is a great film.

Watched this before, and had low expectations (someone else's choice of film). But it was better than expected, and Jason Statham showed a previously unseen ability for comedy, granted he's stil not the best actor but he was good and probably the highlight of the film.

Gklad that you liked the film as well, Jesslloydfan. I believe this was Jason Stathams first attempt at a comedy of sorts. Some cracking put downs / one liners from him coupled with the fact that he was as clumsy / jinxed as you like. I loved the put downs / insults from the bulk of the characters (even Melissa Mccarthy's boss had some belters).

I feccin loved Jason Stathom in this film. Just the sheer ridiculousness of some of his statements were absolutely amazing

"I've ate and shat out enough microchips to build and fucking computer."

And that was probably the worst of them. Some real crackers!

Ive heard some good things about tthis movie, my mate said he was cracking up quite a bit and heard its got some guest appearances too plus the main chicks a stunner, seen her in get him to the greek and bridesmaids , proper sexy. also to be fair rotten tomatoes given it a rating of ninety five percent. will defo have to give it a watch

Melissa McCarthy's a stunner..eh, ok, well each to there own nathanjames25 lol (just messing, i know you meant Rose Byrne..or did you).95%, blimey. To be fair though the film is very good and very funny, especially if you like films full of funny / abusive / insulting putdowns. This is chock a block with those (and all the better for it).

seen this films its not to bad i dont like Jason statham in it hes not very comical in my opinion worth a watch overall ending was ok as-well
