As we bid a fond farewell to Spooky season for another year and welcome the red and green hues of Christmas into our lives I just want to shout out to the Movie that did it best this season. You may well think that with my love for Terrifier it would be Terrifier 3 that brought chills on full force but instead it was the movie ‘The Substance’ that had me on the edge of my seat.

It’s an very up close and personal body horror that does not let up. The pace is strong, the visuals are stunning and the horror is grotesque. If you get a 7 day free trial at Mubi you can even be watching it for free tonight! Check it out.
