They said that they would be able to develop more players. They forgot to mention that they would sell them shortly afterwards...

Sky reckon you're after Hernandez. You've got fierce competition though with Inter & Atletico also interested but you probably have more money to offer both us & Hernandez after all your sales...

£25m and you can have him.

You might have got that for him a couple of years back I can't see anyone paying any more than £15m this summer, he's not played enough.

Him and Rojo though, plus Forster alongside Tadic, Pelle and Bertrand, I'd call that a pretty successful summer.

And a profit of about £35m.

Hitler's reaction to Southampton's summer exodus.

    Fucking brilliant.

I love it when fans say '£25 million and you can have him'. What a load of rubbish!! Us a s fans have no idea how the inner dealings of a transfer are completed. £25 million? Is that fr the transfer itself or the wages of the player included.

    Absolutely clueless...

You're right. Let's just not talk about anything anymore, I mean heck, we can't possibly have our own opinions and discuss them right? Shut the forum down.

Doubt we'll see another window like that...

In: Shane Long, Dusan Tadic, Fraser Forster, Graziano Pelle, Florin Gardos, Ryan Bertrand, Sadio Mane, Toby Aldeweireld.

Out: Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Calum Chambers, Rickie Lambert, Billy Sharp, Guly, Danny Fox, Dani Osvaldo, Gaston Ramirez, Jos Hooiveld.

It was a bit devastating to see so many go early doors but looking back at least we got decent fees and had plenty of time to find replacements. Would have been a lot more difficult if we'd dug in only for them all to jump ship over the last few weeks anyway.

Assuming Bertrand and Aldeweireld sign permanent deals at the end of the season we're still around £20m up overall, and just about in better shape than last year I reckon.

The defence looks stronger and we didn't lose any key men from the middle of the park. Only question mark is whether we've done enough to replace Lambert and Lallana's goals and assists from last season. While Mane looks a player, Tadic has been impressive so far and Pelle seems to be finding his feet too, those two along with Rodriguez were key for us.

At least we've still got him (nearly fit too) and the best business of the lot? Keeping Schneiderlin. Should be alright for another top-half finish.

Lallana, Lambert, Lovren, Shaw, Chambers, Pochettino - GTF!

You say they spent £60m like it's a bad thing? Did you expect them to just not replace any of the players they sold?
