Mark Hughes refuses to celebrate Southampton's Premier League safety following a 1-0 victory at Swansea, who now need to make up a 10-goal swing on the final day of the season to condemn Saints to relegation.

Next year will be the 7th consecutive season in the top flight, so we're probably getting to the point where a club of our size would be expected to run out of steam.
It's possible that the current mess is all Pellegino's fault and we'll be back in the top half next season like that's our natural level, but i'm not so sure.
Either way, a big summer coming up with some proper investment needed. Again though, not so sure that'll be forthcoming.

Has Mark Hughes been sacked yet ? He was lucky to keep Southampton up last year and pretty much relegated stoke ... surely he won’t get another top division job after this -
