Turns out he's handed in his resignation because the owners want to sell up.
And Pochettino is 2/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave his job. He was 50/1 yesterday.

Just named Ronald Koeman as their new manager, he's signed a three-year deal.
Now Pochettino was decent, but Koeman's won three Dutch titles, the Copa del Rey with Valencia and reached the Champions League quarter-finals with Benfica. I'll take that.
Makes you wonder why Spurs didn't go for him instead. -

Now you guys can stop fannying around and sell us Shaw! -

I think he's a quality signing for Southampton. He's been successful and gets his teams playing proper football, similar to the way they try and play now. Wonder what kind of squad he'll be left with. -

"Watching the run-in towards the end of last season it was unbelievable. It got the hairs on the back of my neck standing up just watching the style of football. Deep down I was thinking to myself 'One day hopefully I'll be able to play in that team'." - Adam Lallana.
"After I played at Anfield last season, I said to myself: 'One day I hope I'll be able to play here for Liverpool'." - Dejan Lovren.
Southampton actually won that 1-0, they must have been devastated.
Looks like Chambers will sign for Arsenal today as well. £16m for a 19 year old, second choice right back with only 25 games under his belt looks decent enough on the face of it but people are actually more pissed off about this one than any of the others. It wasn't as though he was angling for the move and it's starting to look a lot like asset-stripping now. Need a few new faces in ASAP.
Still, at least Koeman's seeing the funny side of it.
Not a player in sight. -

I think Southampton are doing the right thing provided they replace theses players properly and down have a massive spiral. The money they are being offered is way too much to turn down. -

I disagree. If they had any ambition they would reject the offers. Of course in some cases there was nothing they could do as the players wanted out (Lallana, Lovren etc) but the likes of Chambers & Shaw would probably have been happy enough to stay for a few more years. -

It gets worse! BBC now reporting Rodriguez and Schneiderlin are going to Spurs.
