Someone tries to fake a murder on Google Maps

This is something a bit strange. Let's take a look at the picture:



Basically, they were trying to stage a scene in which one person killed the other with a pickaxe to try and do something for the Google van. He said he saw the van and got everything prepared to stage this.

After it was spotted by someone online, they reported to the police. Let's not forget the picture was actually taken back in 2012 so not been discovered until now. Once the police saw it, they went round to investigate because it looks a real murder. When he apologised and said it was just a joke, the police managed to see the funny side of it.

This is one way to get the Google van's attention and the attention of many others.

On the one hand I reckon getting noticed by Google would represent a real high point in your life.

But on the other, I just think you've got too much respect for them to go around interrupting their good work in such a manner.

Well I wouldn't do something quite as drastic as this. I may do something funny or something of the like to maybe attract the attention of the Google van although I'm not sure what I would do.

I know people have put signs and banners up saying "Hello Google" or similar so I would maybe do something like that. I'm not sure. What would you do Scotty if the Goggle van came to you?
