SOME PEOPLE JUST EXPECT ARTISTS TO BE PAID IN "EXPOSURE"
Being an artist is a funny thing, people assume that because you draw or paint, it doesn't take any effort hence why it should be done for free. Ha, get the fuck outta here with that shit!
Artists work bloody long hours on their commissioned work and deserve to be paid accordingly. Sadly there are a few fannies out there who think "exposure" is payment enough. Er, nope! Follow me on Twitter: @ReedeFox |

RE: SOME PEOPLE JUST EXPECT ARTISTS TO BE PAID IN "EXPOSURE"
The value of art doesn't translate to the effort put into it necessarily.
Spending a week on a painting, doesn't make it worth a week's wages, if it's not a good 'picture' (I put that in brackets to cater for abstract types) But a 5 minute flowing pen drawing could be worth a day's wages if it has that wow factor to someone with the cash to spare. Not really a profession for people who strongly believe in fairness. |

RE: SOME PEOPLE JUST EXPECT ARTISTS TO BE PAID IN "EXPOSURE"
Yeah I agree that it's only going to be worth depending on how it is perceived which is completely uncertain but to straight out ask someone to work for you and act like they should feel privileged to do so is a bit much. The exposure being offered would have to be huge for that to be considered at all.
