  Maybe they're jumping on the Game of Thrones hype.  Or maybe, after dragging the franchise through six whole movies and varying degrees of nonsense they're finally out of ideas.
  
  The latest instalment, once again starring Milla Jovovich as Alice, is subtitled the 'The Final Chapter', and with any luck it'll be just that.

  if i can remember the last resident evil ended with all those choppers coming at them on the umbrella boat, i really thought they would carry on from that but it doesnt look like it has, movie looks like it could be good, but dragons lol i dont know about that might be a bit much but we will see

  Dragons..seriously. Oh well, these films have always been kinda out there so why not i guess. Personally i have enjoyed all previous installments. While hardly ground breaking, intellectual or award worthy, as leave your brain at the door entertainment goes its all harmless enough. This (hopefully) final installment does look promising enough, that said theres no way im gonna shell out to see it at the cinema. Will check it out on home release.

  I am the same as gymaddict69 and i enjoyed the previous installments of the resident evil films. While they were not as good as the games or had anything remotely to do with the games they were still kind of enjoyable. The dragons though were in Resident Evil 4 (maybe) and they were definitely in Resident Evil 5. One thing i cannot get over though is how bad a job they did of portraying Leon in the last film.

  yeah gymaddict i rarely go to the cinema now, especially since movies are coming out on dvd and sky tv within a couple of months, but still looking forward to seeing it, last movie i think i saw in cinema was 2012

  That actually looks based on one of the mutated creatures in Resident Evil 5 (i've been replying it recently). The one in the game has a more bat like head but it seems to be based on that to me. I actually enjoy these films, yeah they aren't particularly scary but they have their moments. I would like this to actually be an end though so the series can have a proper ending of some kind.
