  It seems like the DC Fandome went down this weekend. An online event highlighting all that DC will be bring to the big and small screen over the coming year. Shazam 2 was on the billing so for those who like your comic movies a bit more fun and family friendly then this will be for you.

  Shazam has been my favourite DCEU film so far. The boardroom scene and the scene where teenage Billy finally meets his mum are brilliant. So I'm pretty excited to watch this. The casting of Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu as the villains is perfect. I hope to see more of Meagan Good in this one. They'll probably do a post-credit scene featuring Black Adam too.

  After their panel at San Diego Comic Con today, the first official trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods was released. Zachary Levi reprises the titular role and is starring opposite Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu. The subplot looks like it's going to deal with the issues Billy is having living up to his superhero peers and pressure of trying to keep his family together. It would be nice to see some of the darker elements from the first film that Mark Strong brilliantly provided, carry over into this sequel. The choice of Business by Eminem being the soundtrack to this trailer was a nice choice.

  Two months prior to it's release in cinemas and we've got a full trailer. Levy looks like the he's going to portray how the weight of responsibility and how the cost of being a hero can take it's toil on our titular character and the people he loves.

  Despite not being as enjoyable as the first film, this is still a pretty decent sequel. Mirren and Lui are fine as the villains. Levi continues to do what he did previously. All the older and younger returning supporting cast are just as good as they were before, especially Brody, Good, Grazer and Herman. Zegler is a nice new addition to the cast. There is one cameo during the film that ties into to DCEU, a mid credit scene that has links to the DCU and a post credits scene that references the first film.

  Is this really worth the watch? i think the appeal of superhero movies for me has gone, ever since infinity war, and the interest went after the last Spiderman movie.
